The Doha Mixed-Use project was developed as part of an international design competition put forth from the government of Qatar. The design reflects a diverse array of design elements, such as: a championship golf course, villas, estate lots, a sports complex, a marina, a resort, retail, and entertainment complex. The residential units were designed to maximize both the golf course views and sea views which in turn, offer the owner a maximum return on investment.
IDG designed a landform for the residential area. The Oryx, which is found throughout the Arabian Peninsula, was the inspiration for the man-made landform.
