Anchored by CNA, 500 TownPark is a 135,000-square-foot office building in Lake Mary’s Colonial TownPark development. In recent years, Lake Mary’s talented workforce, great school districts, and nearby restaurants and retail have attracted several big corporations to bring regional operations to the city. In the first quarter of 2017, the Chicago-based insurance company moved its existing 554 employees from their previous Maitland office into 108,000-square-feet of space of 500 TownPark. This new building will provide their employees with more amenities, including outdoor areas with seating, nearby walking trails, and more parking spaces by use of the adjacent parking garage.
IDG addressed sustainability issues by using innovative solutions to the hardscape, landscape, and irrigation design that met LEED Silver certification standards. Site amenities, such as the benches and trash receptacles, were made using recycled materials and plants were selected that worked with the natural elements of the site.
