The bright green Incredible Hulk Coaster, named after the Marvel Comics character, was revitalized in 2016 with some new enhancements and improvements. The Hulk has been at Universal since Islands of Adventure’s opening in 1999 and features seven inversions, a 100-foot drop and top speeds of nearly 70 miles per hour. The renovations included new ride vehicles, a makeover to the queue, enhanced lighting effects, and a statue of Hulk with a replica of the ride vehicle at the entrance.
IDG was contracted to assist in the redevelopment of the ride and surrounding area development. The scope consisted of all the hardscape and landscape for the project. Our direction was to express the theme of Bruce Banner’s laboratory out into the queue and surrounding area development.
