Volcano Bay at Universal Orlando Resort joined Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure as the resort’s third incredibly immersive park. The water park is built on 53 acres to the south of Cabana Bay Beach Resort. The park, which features a smoking Volcano, has something for everyone. Thrill seekers can ride on a four-person canoe though the volcano and waterfall on the Krakatua Aqua Coaster or face the rapids along TeAwa, The Fearless River, while guests looking for leisure can swim and relax on Waturi Beach or the enjoy floating along the lazy river.
IDG was tasked with assisting the civil team with technical drawings to provide site grading for the park. After the water park’s opening, IDG participated in a number of small localized projects aimed at enhancing guest circulation.
