Grandview is the final residential tower to be built at Waterside at Bay Beach in Fort Myers Beach, Florida. The 11-story, 58-unit condominium tower is located just two miles North of Lovers Key State Park and features panoramic views of the Gulf of Mexico and Estero Bay. Residents have access to the community’s resort pools and spas and a 55-acre nature preserve with miles of walking trails. The “EL” (as in “Elevated Waterfront Living” – Grandview’s positioning theme statement) is the building’s outdoor central gathering space where residents can gather for barbecues, to watch a game on the outdoor TV or to relax in the evening while enjoying one of the two outdoor fire pits.
IDG was tasked by London Bay Homes to provide landscape architectural design for the site and the elevated entertainment area. Our design approach was to maximize the resident’s enjoyment of waterfront views while providing dynamic outdoor spaces. Raised planters surround the area creating lush landscape and pergolas provide shaded seating areas. IDG also provided landscape design for the sales center and approximately half a mile of roadway leading into the development.
